Registration opens for 2018 Development and Climate Days
(A version of this story appeared earlier today on the website of the International Institute for Environment and Development.)
Registration for the 2018 Development and Climate Days in December is now open. This year’s D&C Days will aim to influence the ambition mechanism under the UNFCCC – particularly the Talanoa Dialogue and global stocktake – and inform climate action on all levels, looking ahead to 2020.
It will take place on the 8 and 9 December in Katowice, Poland, the middle weekend of the COP 24 UN climate talks.
D&C Days encourages dialogue on a range of issues that link policy, knowledge and practice, and innovative approaches encourage participants to interact, challenge existing thinking, and generate new ideas.
The 16 annual D&C Days will continue to build on the topic of Global ambition. Local action. Climate resilience for all, and will focus on: transparency and downward accountability; resilience through empowerment; financing adaptation and reducing risk; and valuing local experience and knowledge.
Within these themes D&C Days will be tackling big questions, seeking effective and practical answers, and working together on fair solutions.
